Purple Panthers vs the Crusaders of Manchester Memorial in the Division I
Quarter Finals at JFK. While the Crusaders defeated the Panthers, the Panthers
had a fine season and gave their Familes, Friends and the City of Nashua something
to Cheer about. Thanks Boys, You're the Best.
Running out to my truck everday with Injo to get in line. Waiting for Quatch man to finishing pimpin' to his ladies. Getting to the rink wicked early and having goodtimes with Jay in bathroom. Walking down that hallway, past the coaches room to the locker room, hearing "TNT by AC/DC" blasting from the stereo. Walking in and seeing Cappi playing the drums, Nate dancing, Klink rockin' out on the guitar, and Mosher "humping" someone or something. Mulcahy eating his bags of chips, Dale lacin' up his sleds, Gray would walk in 10 minutes before practice with cow manure on his shoes and pants and the length arm "probing" glove in his pocket. Woodsy playing with his hair and Big Matt Kelly chilling in his corner. Then there one of our two Canadian Captains, Scali, always there to tape my stick before games. Fruety was usually sitting in his stall kissing his buddha figurines (when he wasn't trying to kiss me), with Wheeler trying to get in on the action as well. Manheim usually had a stick in his hands and cornrows in his hair. Next to him there was Gallant getting dressed quietly, minding his own business. Nocella and Stevie on their carpet talking to each other and MacGrath, Little Tiggs, and Tommy Raisanen sharing the locker next to Rourke's. Sammy showing up to practice literally as we would be going on the ice, and somehow he was out there 5 minutes later; that was always a good laugh. Good 'ol Sasquatch looking like a sunfish and Freire with his god almighty hairy chest and shaved arms...Amy and Laura, ha, you thought i forgot you, love you both.
I'm going to miss it all.
It was one hell of a ride boys, and I'm glad that I did it with you all. Your the best friends that a guy could ask for. For those going on to persue their hockey careers in college, best of luck to you. For all of you who will be our rival at NHSN, see you next year. And for those of us who will represent the purple next winter season, I'm looking forward to it already. But for now, here's to NHS Hockey, '03-'04.
