In the Lysekloster ruins,a cistercienser monastery established in the year 1146 by monks from Fountains Abbey in England. It was in use until 1536 when it was closed during the Reformation. The picture is taken from the high altar towards the main church. Most of the stones of the buildings were taken from here in 1578 and brought to Copenhagen where they were used in the Kronborg Castle during the danish rule of Norway.
