Retrieving Hurricane Anchor

During hurricane season we position anchors amidships to stablize Shibumi away from the dock.
Fortunately, we did not have to pull their lines taut this year of last.
As we prepare for a late January departure, I retrieved the last midship anchor from the middle of the canal.
The thirty-five pound Danforth anchor and its line were quite filthy when I brought them in.

Very colorful gallery....I'm envious of the short sleeves and liquid water vs the solid water and jackets that we are experiencing now.
