Day Fifty-Eight

The night of day 57 Shibumi was anchored near Palm Shores. We were all alone in the quiet little cove. It was total isolation and a grand sense of peace. The news headlines and the scores of the latest games were all meaningless there.

Day 58 took us to Cocoa, Florida. This was our last planned day onshore until we reach home sometime next week (first week in June). Our plan calls for about six more days aboard Shibumi. From Cocoa we will sail to the Kennedy Space Center, with hopes to see the Space Shuttle Discovery Launch on Saturday May 31st. That will be Shibumi Day 61.

Cocoa, Florida has a great little village with all manner of shops and restaurants. We enjoyed a nice walk around the village and lunch at a parkside hot-dog stand. Jill can be an inexpensive date when I don't offer her champaign and lobster.
