Many people don't understand why sailboat cruisers will get up before sunrise and take to the ocean. Well that's okay... everyone doesn't appreciate life's gifts in the same way.

By my count, this is our 49th day on this voyage. I admit that I have not been counting days with any type of precision; but I do keep logs on the days that we move the boat and my off the cuf estimate is that we have been away from home 49 days.

On Shibumi day 49 we left Ft. Lauderdale via the Port Everglades Inlet and sailed in the Atlantic Ocean to West Palm Beach.
