Carole... I will have to check with my neighbor to find out what type of dog Kosco is. I do know she was born in Alaska. Alaska is where shes lives from May to September each year, at her owner's fishing lodge. Kosco is aging now and she moves slower than she used to. Two years ago she got into a heated battle with a grizzly bear. Cliff, Kosco's owner, said the fight seemed to last an eternity. In the end, Kosco was out classed by the bear. She was heavily wounded. However, the fight took a toll on the bear too. It left the lodge in a hurry with a clear understanding that it was not welcomed; and it never returned. Undoubtedly, Kosco has a lot of heart. But I don't know her breed. I will check on that the next time I speak with Cliff.
