We have had a great year in 2006. However our happiness seemed shallow when we looked across the world's landscape and saw so much despair and turmoil. So Jill and I initially decided not to send out our customary cheerful holiday letter.

Well as our mailbox started to fill with so many joyful tidings we changed our minds. Yesterday, I hastily compiled an eight page booklet. Jill edited my wording and I printed 103 holiday letters.
	We spent this morning cutting, stapling, folding, and signing the greetings.
By noon we were solidly in the holiday mood and our letters were ready for the mail.
	We cannot do anything about world turmoil, but what we can do is express our joy.
