We are still in Las Vegas. Last night (Friday night), Jill and I went to a great show; Gordie Brown, a singer-comedian-impressionist. He put on a fabulous performance and left us in great spirits to go out on the town afterwards.
That was when I discovered how much they have improved slot machine technology since the last time I had visited Las Vegas. Namely, the Cashout Ticket. You no longer have to stand on long lines to cash in buckets of dirty winning coins, if you were lucky enough to have some of the filthy little monsters. Instead, when you decide to quit, you press a button on the slot machine you were playing and a bar-coded voucher, in the amount of your winnings, is printed for you. You only have to take the ticket to an ATM/Bill Change Machine to get fresh green pictures of long-departed U.S. Presidents.
As luck would have it, I was able to experience the joy of doing just that when we went to the Aladdin Casino after Friday night's show. |
