June 30, 2006

This is a Friday SP. Really it is.
That is me in the Jeep that you see in the reflection.

This was taken on our way home from seeing Al Gore's movie,
"An Inconvienet Truth".
He was right about the Internet.
If he is right about global warming,
this world is in for quite an adventure.

I like the bumper sticker on the Chevy. And, the reflection of the grill with the "CAGED" license plate! too kewl.

This is just so good on so many levels. Creative as an SP, and thought provoking when I read the caption and the comments. I'm with you on the Jeep thing -- if/when I get another car, I'm really thinking it will be small, practical and gas-friendly. I'm way past flashy cars.

Anyway, looks like I should go see this movie. Everyone else is either talking about it or has seen it or both.

there is a lot of irony in your snapshot . . . and I too plan to see the movie as soon as it gets here

Chris P: There should be no confusion. The photo is a real world view of my life behind the wheel. Foolish? Probably. But Al Gore's movie made me think about whether I really need the utlity of the Jeep, or not. My photo is just advancing the discussion to those who see it.
The Internet? Al Gore, as a congressman, a senator, and as vice president of the U.S., did more to advance the progress of the "Information Super Highway" than any one person in the world. He did not invent it. But without his efforts you and I may not be communicating as we are today.

Doug: I am an incurable liberal, too. I thought the bumper sticker was funny. I have even heard agnostic classmates mumble, "Oh lord, not another test today."

Cool reflection shot and I love the bumper sticker. Made me LOL.

Great image, David
so much to see
license plate says caged and there are verticle lines or bars above it
I like the reflection of your jeep
and as a retired educator I got a chuckle out of the caption

Dave, we saw that movie last week and were stunned by the facts. My problem lies in the fact that the people that need to see it, will not : (
Thanks for the SP. That bumper sticker bothers me a little also : )
Incurable liberal here.

Creative.I like the reflections in the car too.
Chris P.01-Jul-2006 04:12
Am confused by your caption. Is your photo, then, a comment on how foolish American Car Owners are? The mirror image of the Jeep is not only ironic, but indicative of the public in general.
How was Al Gore right about the internet? I thought he said he invented it.

Excellent capture, creative SP. :)

:) Creative SP. John Stewart called "An Iconvienet Truth" the blockbuster horror of the summer ;)

I saw that film today also. Jaw dropping.
