May 10, 2006

As in yesterday's PaD, we are still visiting the Parade of Homes

At $2.5 Million this house was WAY out of our league.
The lot it sat on was not much bigger than Shibumi's deck.
It had a decent view but the place provided us with NO new decorating ideas.

Great lighting in this shot........no matter what people have, someone always has something a little bit bigger, nicer, or pricer. Happiness is being content with what you have. It never ceases to amaze me that about 3,000 children die EVERY day just because they don't have misquito nets in Africa, and yet in spite of this, some of us are compelled to spend 2.5 million dollars on a house.

Excellent shot. A million here, a million there--after awhile it adds up to a lot of money. Seriously it's hard to imagine these prices.

It's harder and harder to imagine these prices, isn't it? i love this shot -- all those lamps, a bit of mystery in the air

Nice one Dave.
For that sort of money you get a house.
A home is where you are happy living.

A modern take on a chandalier. Could it be you like retro instead of new? Maybe you need to look at some historic homes. :) But I bet it is fun visiting these showpieces. I think I would need some land around me though.

A show room shot.
I'll take 'em.

Wait......... not the house !

I like the glow that the chandelier gives; nice ambiance for the money.

I certainly like the shot. And as far as the house, goes, buy two they're small!

Great shot and as they said the lighting is very nice.

I find dust & fingerprints on glass look exactly the same in any house :>)

Very nicely exposed shot. Like the perspective and composition here.
I thought housing prices were outrageous in the bayarea;-)

Excellent perspective. No home improvement projects right now :)

It is instructive to see how others' live, and then appreciate what you already have.

cool chandeliers. . . . don't think THAT would fit in Shibumi either
