January 11, 2006

Tuesday I replaced the thermostat for **Shibumi's** freezer.
We are very happy to get this in because this means that
we can leave food in the freezer when we leave the boat to take trips onshore for a day or two.
We have one more boat project to complete before Shibumi will be ready to sail.
That project will require SCUBA equipment to replace some zincs under the boat, so I hired a diver.

Jill and I will be ready as soon as we finish some personal shore-side issues.
It looks good for Saturday the 14th. We should be ready by Friday, but who wants to start a voyage on Friday the 13th?

I and all at Pbase are waiting to see a PaD every day, even if they come in batches when time and sailing dont get in the way.
Most of all, have a great time and to hell with Ed.

LOL...at Karen and Ed.
Karen: I have is been there. Luckily the door to the head held shut.
Ed: 'The credit card' ...the item we most want to escape on this voyage. American Express is to be reserved for unforeseen circumstances only. (Big Grin) I know, I know, 'Famous last words'.

Oh c'mon, live dangerously. :) Just kidding. The freezer will be a great addition. You're making me miss my sailing days. One of my favorites was a race in near gale force winds. One of the crew was in the head and a gust hit when we were close hauled and the boat went on its side and he came rolling out. LOL. Hope you have beautiful weather the whole way.
