We departed Ft. Pierce for the 3 day cruise north on the ICW to Palm Coast.
Hazardous weather advisories were out for areas north of Cape Canaveral.
We planned to anchor that night in the mouth of the Banana River near the southern tip of Merritt Island.
That is somewhat south of the Cape so we felt good that we would be clear of the heavy weather.
