We finally slipped away from the magnetic grip of Vero Beach and rejoined the waterway southbound.
The free bus service and laundry facilities are enough to attract many waterway travelers. On top of that Vero's convenient shopping, close by restaurants and entertainment nearly had us trapped into thinking we could stay there for the balance of our trip.
While in Vero we saw two space launches from the Kennedy Space Center, we did a little light boat maintenence, I filed my tax returns, went to an artshow, got together with some old friends and met some new. We had several fabulous meals and saw unbelievable sunsets.
Several walks on the beach provided great exercise and we saw magnificent rainbows, although the weather was mostly fantastic.
This was a great way to start off this year's cruise. Vero Beach is going to be a hard act to follow.
