Anyone know the date of this photo? Ariel shot submitted by Patty Doss Koning

Anyone know the date of this photo? I can see the high school athletic fields so the date must be post-1970? If you know the date please email me: Roy@RoyHooper.com

I worked in the mine in 1978 serveing electric mining shovels by P&H. It was a typical mine; hard work, hot, dusty,etc. with good people. For you who are above hard work ----------" Everything is grown or mined." In my 45 years tending to mining shovels mines come and go. A strong America depends on obtaining natural resources. Too bad people think everything comes from Walmart. God bless miners.

picture has to be in the late 70 because they built the big water resivor at the entrance of the town , it was a great place and alot of good people , my family lived thier until 1983 for some of us in the world you learn about the meaning thier is no going home, home is where the heart is......

I remember this town from back in the mid-1970's. My high school baseball team came over from Lake Havasu and played a game here. The town seemed really nice with a palm tree lined main road. We had a good time that day and the Eagle Mountain players were real nice. Tim B.

Yeah, Becky, they all have three eyes and two heads. Keep your ditziness to yourself. It's not becoming. Oh ... by the way, everything made of iron and steel, like that plate in your head, comes from mines like these. I have some very dear friends from EM, people who worked hard, honest folks who'd help a bigot like you in a heartbeat. If you know how to appreciate a desert, this place was actually beautiful before they shut it down.

Wow what an ugly desolate, nasty looking place. Was there many birth defects of people who were from or lived there? I met a couple of people who said they came from here and they are "slow", if you get my meaning.

I vagely remember Eagle Mountain. My Father worked at the Kaiser Mine as a Tire Specialist and would change the T-rex tires from the mid to late 70's. We also lived on Ferro street. I'm planning a trip to Tamarisk Lake sometime this month. I 've been told that the Eagle Mountain community has been fenced off and that there is a groundskeeper on site. I hope he or she is friendly and lets me and my family check out my former home.

Thanks for the pictures, it brings back a lot of memorys, you did not take a
picture of the part of town I lived in, my address was 204 ferro street, my father
mother and myself lived at this address from 1949 to 1969.
As to the date of the picture I'm not sure, the picture would have to be much
larger to stud it closer.

Hi Roy, I am working away from home and when I get a home visit I will look up the date on this picture. I believe it was a post card so it should be easy to find the date. Thank you so much for the awesome pictures. As Anna said, we only new the streets by the 100 number. Unless you lived on the block you didn't know what the name was.
