Stephen, Joan, and I are in Heathrow; the first part of the trip done, ready for the filght to Paris	And here we are in Paris, taking a walk down the street in Montmartre	Interesting signs	Be prepared -- you're going to see a LOT of these street scenes around Paris; I was just fascinated by the great buildings!
See! Another street scene!	When they tell you Montmartre has steps, it has STEPS!!!!!	Crunchies	Meringue globs -- YUMMMMMMMMMMM

Walking around Montmartre	Flower stands/shops were just stuffed with wonderful flowers!	....and gourds!	The most beautiful cakes and sweets!!
Hot goat cheese over glazed onions WOW!	Setting out from the hotel!	This is what all the apt mailboxes look like!	Wonderful wonderful apartment buildings; build about 1900
Wait until you see what is under this bridge!	But first we stopped by another florist	THIS is what was under that bridge; can you imagine the hubub when the bridge was constructed????	Looking in the other direction, you see the rest of the cemetery; very serene!

Notre Dame!	Isn't this wonderful and magical??	Speaking of magical; this was our first view of the Eiffel Tower -- then it started to sparkle!!!!!!!	See, I'm really here!!
Beautiful sunset	Yeah, I know the quality of this photo isn't great, but we're going up in the elevator and that's what you see!	And this photo is even worse, but I think it is a fun photo to show you how high you are in the top of the Eiffel tower!!!	This was my view to the right out of my first hotel room (the one that eventually had the beetles in it)
And here is the view to the left!	After we went to the famous Paris Flea Market, we stopped for a Croque Monsieur, Couscous, and French Fries!	One of the original cast iron subway signs	St. Chappelle -- unbelievably beautiful!!! We had to go thru a metal detector and I had to give up my cheese knife but now.....

Ah! That view again!!!!!!	We got off the boat just in time to be thoroughly drenched by a downpour!	Onion soup and bread! What a feast!	The view outside my hotel window; in that little courtyard, the locals would congregate in the evening/night........noisily

Place de Vendome -- the entire large square is lined with wondeful jewelry shops!!	Nice!	I want the ring that fits in THAT box!!	A Metro entrance!
