This pair of adults returned this year and had 5 young after 3 last year. The male adult is just about to enter the water (just see) bottom right, the adult female is the larger one still on the field. This is the first time I have seen them on this bank this year and is a clear signal that the young are ready to fly, i'll be sorry to see them go. They have just spotted me walking along the opposite bank carrying camera and of course a stoneground wholemeal loaf for them.
