The memorial is perched on a hill in the centre of the cemetery surrounded by the waters of the Menai Straits.
Of all the names carved into the stone of those lost in two world wars, one inscription always takes my eye.

O Jones HMS Invincible which was sunk at the Battle of Jutland 31st May 1916.
