WybunburyTower

Cheshire UK

The Tower was originally built in 1470 and has been straightened several times, the body of the Church was demolished in 1976 due to subsidence.

James Trubshaw (1777-1853), a famous civil engineer and builder was the architect/builder of the Grosvenor Bridge over the River Dee at Chester which was the longest single span stone bridge in the world when built in 1832. Strangely, and probably uniquely, he also restored to perpendicular the leaning tower of St Chad's Church, Wybunbury, near Nantwich in 1832.

Beautiful, ethereal shot. Very interesting levels of light;
looks like a combination of positive and negative images.
Well done. Voted.
