Hanmer Church

Owain Glyndwr was married here in 1382.
The church is part of the Diocese of St Asaph and funnily enough Owain Glyndwr and his Welsh army ransacked the town of St Asaph and set fire to the Cathedral in 1402 during his long running rebellion against the English.

A very good and crysal clear photo and the info was very interesting. However, being a bit unfamiliar with the Welsh language, I didn't realise that Owain Glyndwr, who I had never heard of, was also Owen Glandower!!

A very pretty church with a long history. I like the lions guarding the gateway.
Lovely summer light.
