Coquina Beach
An exciting first day. Not only did we get to swim in the clear warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, we also had company!
For the first time ever we saw a manatee swim along the beach. This couple were busy playing ball in the sea, until we called out 'Behind you!!'.
Yes, he (or she) really was that close.
AWESOME!!!

Manatee alert!
Just when we thought it couldn't get more exciting, a few dolphins swam up to the manatee and then moved away.
So here is my first ever picture with a manatee and a dolphin in the same shot!

Royal Poinciana Tree
Also known as Flamboyant or Flame Tree.
Following an extra chilly winter in Florida everything was blooming late. It meant that we were able to enjoy the stunning colours of this tree for longer.
