Bach and Chopin were my very first 2 musical love when I started to play music ... I was only 10 years old then ... and I still love them dearly.

20 March 2010 Portland, Oregon I can easily imagine morning already there in Eisenach when many will celebrate the birthday of Herr Bach as I will here. Johann Sebastian remains one of the loftiest gifts to civilization, all the more cherished when humanity and the globe itself is threatened. Thanks for this gallery that opens the door to the site where Bach's light and sound first warmed us in l685!

This is a terrific gallery of valuable vignettes. Johann was busy, generous and gifted, it would seem one in a billion. It's nice to see he's still being honored in an accessible fashion. Thanks for the excellent gallery and congrats' on the clavichord (?) for image 1,000 ;-) g

Interessante dokumentation. Ich wohnte Jahre lang nicht weit von Eisenach im Westen, konnte aber nicht das Bach Geburtshaus besuchen weil es in Thüringen ist. Jetzt sehe ich es zum ersten mal. Danke!
