We are back in Great Britain now, after leaving the Republic of Ireland
During breakfast we got our first view of Weymouth as we slid into Portland with its breakwater forts and old lighthouses
Howard had a great view of the Topper Nat'l Sailing Championships at the Nat'l Sailing Academy (venue for 2012 Olympic sailing)
Took the shuttle to Weymouth & found the rowboat for 1 euro over to the beach area
Weymouth is a charming seaside city - much more attractive than the Delaware beaches I'm used to!
It has the beautiful Royal Hotel and amusements galore to keep kids and adults busy.
Where else can you see a Punch & Judy show right on the beach?
Some beach chairs advertise the show
There are donkey rides, too
The newest attraction in Weymouth/Portland is Sandworld - which was advertised in Portland
There's an old town bridge that goes up every 2 hrs. to let boats through
I was in a pub with WiFi emailing Shelby when I heard some commotion.
