Visited the Virginia Safari Park, Natural Bridge. As soon as I drove in, the creatures came looking for food. |
The potbellied pigs were funny. They'd come up to the car and snort to make sure you knew they were down there. |
 My first visitor. |
This llama was not giving up easily. Unfortunately, I had not purchased a bucket of food. |
 Hello, what about me? |
The picture is fuzzy, but I'm posting it as it shows just how close the animals get. |
The llamas come on either side of your car. They are NOT shy. |
 Two piggies. |
 I loved this guy! |
But the llamas are definitely my favorite. |
One of the babies at the park, with mom. |
 Lots of llamas |
I saw this handsome guy last year. What beautiful eyes you have, Mr. Llama! |
Little "Cannon" was never far from mom. |
Rocky Mountain Elk (and yes, they come to the car, too - just can't stick their whole heads in!) |
 Handsome! |

Someone is going to get fed! |
I'm not sure if this guy had the beginning of antlers or what. |
 Hello! I'm hungry! |
 Deer. |
Axis deer and Japanese sika deer |
The camels (fortunately) were in an enclosure. They will steal your food buckets if you get anywhere near them! |
Last year I got some great zebra pictures, but this year all the zebras were hard to spot. |
I found one and tried to take a picture, but I got a little surprise instead! |
A little baby deer - could hardly walk. |

 Lots of wildebeasts |

There were 4 busloads of schoolchildren, and they got to go on wagon rides. |

This year, I had time to briefly visit the "Budgie Aviary" where about 40 parakeets flew free. |

Ran out of time to visit the caged animals, but did walk by this ringtailed lemur and its baby. |
