Day in Tromso: It's a pretty big city for this part of Norway, and has a bit more youthful feel to it, a large number of wooden houses, the northernmost botanical garden in the world and, I think, the world's northernmost brewery. It was a nice port since smallish cruise ships could dock pretty close to center city, making exploration and shopping easy. Bigger ships dock on the other side of Tromso bridge and shuttle their passengers to center city. Where we docked had a tourist information center directly across the way plus a couple museums within easy walking distance. The weather info posted on the Viking Daily read "sunny, 59 degrees, the sun does not set." After Tromso we had our last day at sea.
