Sea Day then Costa Maya, Mexico & Harvest Caye, Belize
I enjoyed a day at sea on the way from Miami to Mexico by attending a "Nice to Meet You" gathering and exploring my shipboard home for the next two weeks. Soon after I awoke the next day, I could see a tall white lighthouse on the shore. That meant we were approaching Costa Maya, near the rather low-keyed but changing beach town of Mahahual. Having been to Costa Maya before, we decided to do something a bit different. We used some of our ample shipboard credit to go on a segway adventure down to and through Mahahual. Either in Mahahual or some time later, I lost my point and shoot camera. So between leaving my "real" camera on the ship to facilitate segway riding, losing my backup camera, not liking phone photography much, and finding Costa Maya less photogenic as some places we'd be, I ended up with few pictures that day. In Harvest Caye (private island) I wasn't expecting too much. I took a short excursion to see a couple local towns, and then did a 3-leg zipline that exhausted me as much as exhilarated me. It was NOT for the faint of heart, but I was determined to have some fun on this stop
and I did!
