We visited Limon on our cruise. I took a ship's excursion to the Wildlife Rescue Center, with lunch and scenic drives along the coast and through a few small towns where the coach had trouble turning corners. Then I went back out into Limon for an hour or two to find nearby Park Vargas & some nearby town attractions. Limon was a nice port since you could walk off the ship into town. There was also a band playing, and a building with vendors & souvenirs. (I bought some coffee for a friend before going back to the ship.) Howard did a train and boat trip while I went off on my own. We both learned interesting things like Costa Rica doesn't have an army, and that bananas and tourism are a huge part of Costa Rica's economy. That evening was our night to go to Polo. I had to hold back a little on splurging on prime rib or whatever due to a tooth problem. But it was still a great dinner. Oceania's food seldom lets us down.
