 After pulling close to show us Motuara Wildlife Refuge & Captain Cook memorial at Ship Cove, we stopped here. |

 We came into our room after dinner & found this. Rosario had declared it to be Howard's birthday. |
 The next evening we dressed the balloons, put them in the bed & turned off the light. |
 We woke up anchored off Akaroa, south island. Got on 1st tender & went ashore. Photographed Akaroa lighthouse from the tender. |
 We were early for our tour on the Eastern Bays Mail Run, so looked around the pretty town. |
 Golden Princess anchored right after us & brought passengers to another part of the wharf. Paddlers were still around. |
 It must have been a very scenic place to paddle! |
 Met rural postman Jeff, wife Susie & some other tourists; off we went. Jeff stopped at scenic places like this. |
 We passed one of the few remaining sheep farms in the area & I took a quick picture. |

 Jeff took us to this old hall and church for a short land break with homemade oatmeal bread & tea. |
 Such a gorgeous place! We made numerous stops while Jeff delivered mail to a number of bay communities, boxes, sheds. |
