It was a pretty low-keyed Balloon Fiesta this year, but at least all 4 of us got to see this balloon, which flew over the Inn.	Sculptures outside a Madrid artist's store and workshop	One of many crosses I saw on a hill.	We stopped at a store/gallery, I believe in Cerrillos, to look at turquoise.
The store had 2 turquoise cars in addition to the turquoise jewelry.	A "Dude" lookalike was a key crew member. He placed flags on the chase vehicle to make it easier to spot from above.	Pat enjoying the balloon ride. We used Private Balloon Flights, and were very happy with them.	The top of the balloon, taken from inside the basket.
Traffic was jammed on I-25 - too many balloon lovers going to Fiesta Park in addition to the usual rush hour traffic!	Time for more flames - we need to go up now!	Another reflection.......	4 more "Private Balloon Flights" balloons were in front of us.
I wasn't fast enough to get the reflection of the whole balloon in the water, but Howard was!	After the balloon comes down, the top cover is released.	Howard about to get out of the basket (Pat and I are already out).	Ruth found a dog to play with in Madrid.

Howard, Al and Pat checked out tiny Taos Casino while I admired mother nature and the sunset.	The Coasters played Thursday night at Fiesta.	The Balloon Glow Friday was a no-glow due to high winds (events are canceled if winds exceed 10 knots).	Early AM Friday at the Special Shapes ascension. SO glad I went - the rest of the Glows/Ascensions were canceled due to wind.
Chic-i-Boom, Yellow Jacket and others, waiting for their hot air.	New this year was the Cathedral - from Germany, piloted by Marlies Nageli. It looked a bit weird as it was being inflated.	You could buy just about ANYTHING at the Fiesta, including these colorful balloons.	The back of South Dakota's Chic i Boom, a Carmen Miranda type balloon.
There goes the Pepsi!	"Sushi," piloted by Katie Griggs, gets inflated.	Buddy	Buddy's back side.
"Sushi" is from Nevada - not too much fresh sushi there, I guess.	The guys from Mitchell, So. Dakota, brought only 2 balloons this year.	Pink Floyd: "There's no sensation to compare with this....."Caution-Can't keep my eyes from circling skies."	I loved Gizzmo.
Woodrow C Greenleaf, with a "Save the Rain Forest" theme.	Chic-i-Boom, Yellow Jacket, and others wait for their hot air!	This guy is called "Retro Bird"	At one point I got up on a picnic table with other photographers. (I'm second to the left!)
The Purple People Eater	I usually look for Uncle Sam, piloted by a South Dakotan who hails from the town where my mother taught school!	High school performers at the fiesta	Ham-let. I remember this "When Pigs Fly" pig from before.This year we got to meet one of the guys crewing for him (Tucker Smith)
I think this is Gordo, but I forget....	On Friday night, volunteers carving for the Make a Wish Foundation carved beautiful creations for auction the next day.	The key grabbers flying in. Everyone has to fly in from at least a mile away.	One perfect balloon flies into that typically-blue ABQ sky.
Key grab is amazing because soon after the Special Shapes leave the field, the regular balloons start flying in.	The haunted house.	Brandenburger Tor (Berlin's Brandenburg Gate) goes aloft!	Big ole Airebelle goes aloft - with its pilot ringing a cow bell to the delight of the crowd below!
3 beautiful balloons out of the (only) 460 registered this year. (The ABQ festival is the largest in the world.)	This balloon is called "Alien Inflation"	A very cute airplane flies over the park.	A very pretty balloon
