A Day in Borneo (Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia)

Borneo is the world's third largest island. There are 3 countries there - Brunei, Malaysia and Indonesia. After our day in Brunei, our cruise stopped at Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia for a day. I had arranged a 3 hour tour with Tours by Locals. Dudy took us around to see things I had been curious about. This was my first visit to Malaysia. I found that, not surprisingly, every country in SE Asia is a little different.

We received a nice welcome at the Kota Kinabalu port	Malaysian dancers & musicians	First stop: the beautiful City Mosque	City Mosque minarets	Masjid Bandaraya on the water in all its glory. Guide Dudy paid a dollar or two to take me to the best spot.	I was encouraged to stand for a picture.
Puh Toh Tze Chinese Buddhist Temple	Howard & guide Dudy (arranged by Roy of Tours by Locals) explore the temple.	Puh Toh Tze Chinese Buddhist Temple	Goddess in garden with sea creatures & birds. Other part of temple was closed to visitors.	The temple was full of things that caught my eye	Out back were several lines of stone statues
