In Loving Memory - Janet W. Rosenthal

Born Janet Walkin on May 12, 1918, Janet Rosenthal died July 6, 2009 in her home at Riderwood Village in Silver Spring, MD. She was 91. She was a real trooper, raising children while her husband was away at war, moving around the country although she probably would have preferred to stay put, and stoically suffering the heartbreak of having her 30-year old daughter die and her youngest son go through cancer and chemo at age 46. Unlike Dr. Harry, Janet did not want to see, do and experience everything. Instead, she chose a few passions that carried her through bad times and good. She enjoyed the company of family and friends, became quite accomplished at golf and bridge, and led a long and full life. She was wonderful to me and I certainly could not have wished for a more wonderful mother-in-law. We miss you, Mom.
