Woke up in eastern Iceland in Djupivogur, a town of 350 people. With our 715 passengers, we just tripled the population. And that doesn't count most crew members, who though vaccinated, are not allowed off the ship due to Covid delta concerns. It was a beautiful day with perfect weather, which isn't always the case in Iceland. We tendered to the pier and found the tour buses. I had seen the results of lots of fire and now wanted to see ice in the land of fire and ice. South of Djupivogur are two lagoons. Our cruise line offered zodiac trips in the smaller one. Off I went, while Howard stayed "home" to enjoy amenities & activities on board the ship. After my adventure with ice, including lunch with the usual soup, bread, fish, boiled potatoes and carrot slaw, I walked up quickly to see the "Eggs" of Merry Bay. We enjoyed a wonderful Manfredi's feast and a beautiful sunset.
