Anhinga Trail, Feb. 26, 2012 & Dinner w Jorge & Kiki Feb. 25

Flew to Miami a day early for our Caribbean cruise. Had dinner with Jorge and Kiki in Miami (yum - SO good, churrascuro (sp?) steak was incredible!) The next morning I drove to the Everglades, and spent a couple hours photographing critters on the Anhinga Trail.

I once drove to Anhinga to find NO birds, just alligators. This time was different (anhinga on Anhinga Trail, Everglades).

I never tire of photographing the majestic great blue herons.		 This beauty is a purple gallinule. I saw one later in Belize, where they are called the Jesus Christ Bird. They're very shy.

This bird is also very shy, and not seen that often (moorhen).
