Mighty mountains in the AM haze in the fjord
As approached Djupivogur, I saw 2 new lighthouses - Papey (pictured) & Ketilfes. My worldwide count today is 628!
Aedarstein 1st glimpse from ship (saw it in 2021; wanted to visit it today!)
The small town of Djupivogur from our approach. Life centers around the small harbor.
Tendered in. Howard pointed out that our tender driver was an officer -- hooray for her!
Tender boats went back & forth all day
I found the long path to the lighthouse & after 10 minutes the lighthouse was right in front of me.
Aedarstein basic shot
Aedarstein cutout framing Bulandstindur mountain
Aedarstein ladder with mountain in back. (Yes, I climbed the ladder, though it was kind of scary way up top.)
On walk back, I missed part of the trail & my favorite pair of Brooks shoes got covered with thick muck. (Still stained.)
I also took Viking's included tour. It was mostly walking. We passed some unusual artwork.
