 View just before sunrise of city from Viking Sky. When we docked, I headed out. |
 Took the mandatory shuttle from dock to this point near Via Roma (along water) |
 Took a local bus to the top of El Castello, old walled part of Cagliari. Here's 1 of 2 defensive towers. |

 Walked down a little & found the viewpoint over the city. |

 Came to the square at Maria Assunte Cathedral (Duomo). Kept going down as sun was about to appear. |
 A very large nativity scene was outside the large duomo! |
 Beautiful Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta. I came back later. |

 Got down to the terrace at San Remy Bastione just in time for an incredible sunrise. |

 Down I went to find my way out of the walled city. Wasn't too hard with a decent map. |
 Met Howard at McD's, went to Carbustec (great local co.), rented Smart Car 7 drove down the peninsula. |

 Smart Car was really hard on Howard's back - mistake, but I needed to drive & it was automatic. |

 Went to Poetto Beach. On way back, near a hospital, saw flamingos. They stay because of the salty water. |

 Had fun that afternoon looking for more (distant) lighthouses. Saw a few. |
 Helped Howard get to the spa to see if some heat or cold would help his pain from the smart car ride. |
 Snow room on Viking ships is unusual! |
 I would have made a tiny snowman except I hadn't brought gloves. |
