Spent a day and a half on Bora Bora on an Oceania cruise in January 2016. Bora Bora, part of Society Islands in French Polynesia, is a very beautiful place, with Mount Otemanu dominating the landscape at every turn. We did "Le Truck" and "Aquasafari" (helmet dive) excursions, and I explored the town of Vaitape on my own. I met someone who took me up the hill a way to show me the view from there. Saw the most fabulous sunset I've seen in my life, but my camera battery had just died and I had no spare. By the time I got back to the ship, the show was over. I'll remember it for a long time, though. Mauruuru, Bora Bora, for making my day and a half in the Society Islands one of the highlights of my cruise.
