Australia Cruise - Burnie, Tasmania & Melbourne First Visits Jan. 2020

Visited Burnie, Tasmania and Melbourne, Victoria, each for a day the first week in January. Re-visited these cities in our second (back to back) cruise. (See gallery to follow, later.)

Stopped at Hellyers Distillery, an attractive place with food, art & whiskey samples. Creme whiskey was delicious.

Melbourne: Backed into Station Pier Jan. 4 soon after bushfires had started to ravage parts of S Australia.  Smokey sky today.

Walked through here many times on 3 different days in 2 cruises. Probably nicest port gate I've seen.

Walked 5 min. from ship to tram stop Beacon Cove/Port Melbourne 109, bought $14 AUD metro card nearby, took it towards downtown.

Just over river transferred at Batman Pk to 35, tourist tram.  Can take others to go same place (e.g., Federation Square).
