American Robin

Turdus migratorius

Robins are so common that I sometimes forget how beautiful they are.
I always feel good when flocks of them show up in the middle of winter to feed on the crabapples that we have planted in the yard. Both birds and deer seem to enjoy the fruit immensely!

Unfortunately we only see one or two robins here, you are so lucky to have flocks of them coming into your property. A wonderful capture in a beautiful setting. V

I know what you mean! We tend to stop really looking at the common creatures around us. Robins really are quite spectacular. Love this shot amidst the crabapples. VV
