Shadow Darner

Aeshna umbrosa

The Shadow Darner is quite large with the males being 2.5 to 2.9 inches long.
This one was perched 15 feet up in a tree so it was a bit difficult to get a good bead on it, but, in spite of the distance,
I was pleased to be able to get the field marks fairly well.

I hope if I have identified this incorrectly that someone will bring it to my attention. Thanks!

Pas toujours évident de les photographier! Une très jolie prise de vue sous un magnifique ciel bleu! V
