Zebra Swallowtail

Eurytiides marcellus

I had several individuals in our yard this year, in fact, we had more of these zebras than we had of Monarchs which is a bit worrisome. The zebra swallowtails are stunning but the monarchs are a concern when we don't see them.

This is a beautiful capture Ann! V
The Monarchs have been low in numbers this year; but isn't it normal for them to on and off years?

A stunning image. I've always wanted to see one of these. And yes, the lack of monarchs is very worrying, and we can hope that next year will be better. V
