Black-throated Warbler

Dendroica caerulescens

Magee Marsh, Ohio

Self-proclaimed Warbler Capital of the World, Magee Marsh is an amazing place. For several weeks in spring warblers and other migrants drop down to feed before making the journey across Lake Erie into Canada to their breeding grounds. What is incredible about Magee is that the warblers often feed down low at eye level and often within 10 feet of where you are standing. Anyone who has never been there should go! You won't be disappointed, especially if you plan several days there in case the winds are not quite right for fall-outs.
