Turkey Vulture

Cathartes aura

This turkey vulture was feeding on a dead cat.
It was missing its left foot and would actually walk occasionally on the stump.
The skin on the end of its stump appeared to be healed.
It was good to see that it had found food, albeit, a hapless cat.

wow. this poor bird, and poor cat. but the death of one gives life to the other. vultures are nature's garbage crew, cleaning up for us. V
