These squid are kept in tanks at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute in Massachusetts and are fascinating to watch. The orange and yellow areas were constantly changing depending on the mood and level of excitement of the squid. Two research scientists gave us a personal tour in exchange for me showing them where to find Holcocephelas, a species of very small robber fly. They study the eyes of flies and take super slow motion films of flies chasing down prey.
