My dogs alerted me to this fox that appeared this morning in the back yard. Fortunately, the dogs were indoors as the fox was 3-legged lame with an obvious injury to its right hind leg. Hopefully, he will be okay. I was amazed that he stayed as long as he did as the dogs were barking up a storm and I am sure he could hear them. This was shot through a double pane glass door.

Great shot Ann! We had a family of foxes for a year - they were young and "too friendly" - they would play with the neighbor's dog - which was really scary to me. Foxes are beautiful but can be dangerous. Hate to see this one injured - it will be a tough life for him. They are amazing to watch!

Oh poor thing. I wonder if it is an injury from a trap. I hate to see animals that are hurt, they have a tough enough time already trying to survive. Foxes in particular are very special to me. Lovely, lovely shot. I hope he fares well. V
