Large Milkweed Bug with Nymphs

We are inundated this year with milkweed bugs. Not sure why so many. I planted milkweed in the hopes of getting monarchs but did not have one caterpillar this year.

Super, super shot! We have scads of the Small milkweed bug, which looks a bit different from this one, though the nymphs look almost identical. Absolutely great image!! VVV
