Olive-sided Flycatcher with Bumble Bee

Gaspe' Peninsula
Quebec, Canada

This was the first Olive-sided that I have ever seen at eye-level so I was thrilled to catch him in the act of dining on a hapless bee.

Nicely done, Ann. I have a shot of the same species with a Bumblebee in the same pose taken 3000+ miles from that one. A versatile bird.

That is quite the catch, for both of you (though I feel sorry for the bee). These flycatchers are so lovely with their distinctive song. DOn't see many here except in migration if we are lucky. V
