POETRY OF MOTION

This is the very first time I photographed Gymnastics and I must admit it is not easy, even with a camera such as the Canon 1D Mark III. Tracking and keeping the focus on the gymnast was a task by itself. Burst of 10 frames per second will simply go to waste if the images are not in focus.

The lighting on this gymnasium is horrible and I have to use ISO 6400 to stop the motion. I wish I have the Nikon D3 with its ISO 25600...

Naaaaah just kidding!

Great shots. Gymnastics is very hard to shot because they are moving so fast and the light is usually bad. Modern digital cameras make it easier, but still chalanging.

Excellent shots despite of the horrible lighting.
This is the reason why there's a need for photogs like you.
