Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, 2001

These are pictures from my biking, hiking, and kayaking trip to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland in September 2001. I cycled around the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, then up the North Peninsula in Newfoundland. Then I returned to Gros Morne Park (Newfoundland) where I did some hiking in the Long Range Mountains, and sea kayaking in Bonne Bay. It was a great trip!

I love gros Morne especially the south side of bonne Bay., The tablelands were an experience. \the people were friendly for the most part.

Bravo, Ron. I went to GMNP for the 1st time this past August. Always nice to see other's pics of such a gorgeous place. You can see some of mine at pbase\michaeltokyo\newfoundland.

I think I visited everyone of these spots. Great place Gros Morne. I spent a few days hiking the tablelands and green gardens as well. Top of Gros Morne was a challenge. I tried kayaking but was afraid of the whales in Bonne bay. I was almost upset by one which surfaced a few feet away. It seemed as surprised as I was. Nice People in Woody Point and Winterhouse Brook

this is a great part of Canada. I spent a moth in this part of newfoundland kayaking in Bonne Bay. I met some very nice people in Winterhousebrook. They were down on the beach with a chocolate lab named Jigger and a little black poodle Ceasar. They shared a lot of information about the area and when was the best time to see the whales. Sure enough they were there in the same spot almost every morning. wonderful trip to Gros Morne. Pic bring back so many fond memories
