Navajo Bridge

Grand Canyon

When completed in 1929, Navajo Bridge was the highest steel-arch bridge in the country, 470 (143m) feet above the Colorado River. It was the only crossing of the River for 600 miles (965 km). There is now a second bridge next to it for automobile traffic, completed in 1995; the original bridge remains as a pedestrian bridge.

It might be a strong bridge but when put between two mountains, it feels very fragile. Nicely done.

Spectacular angle and dizzying perspective!
Stunning deep blue sky.
