Colonial Philadelphia

Philadelphia was founded by William Penn in 1682; by the 1750s, it was the second largest city in the British Empire, after London. The nation's first free library, public school, and hospital were established here.

Independence Hall is the birthplace of the United States; on July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was adopted in this building, and in 1787 the Constitution was debated, drafted, and signed.

I think this sight is the BOMB. Yet there are a few things wrong. I do believe that when someone gets to this web-site they want to get what they are looking for, I am looking for pictures of tailors, but can find none. Excellent Album. I've been there so many times since I have been a kid but havent gone back since I have been into photography except down to Penns Landing at the River for Fireworks this July 4th. Maybe one of these upcoming weekends I'll have to take a drive. Your images have inspired me again :)
