Winfield Festival 2010--Storm and Tie Dye

Weds. eve the strongest storm, in my memory to ever hit the festival, rolled in with 80 mph winds and 3" of rain. It is only through luck that the 2" hail north of town and several small tornados around Winfield didn't make there way into the campgrounds. Many, if not most, of all the awnings were blown away and it was a long night for the wet and displaced. Thursday morn dawn, folks picked up, and not a beat was missed.
It was a great festival but I was struck by the amount of tie dye throughout the campgrounds. It wasn't the largest festival, I heard 13,000, but it had a very nice life of it's own.
It came and it went---------NOW------------get ready for the 40th in 2011 (That's FOUR ZERO) next year ---ron s.
